Production has officially begun on the second filming block of the new Bulgarian scripted TV series Airport – a 12-episode dramedy co-produced by Falconwing Studio and Bulgarian National Television (BNT), taking viewers into the fast-paced world of civil aviation.

Under the tagline "When the rules no longer help, only doing what's right remains," the series explores the challenges faced by aviation professionals and the personal sacrifices their demanding careers often require.

Airport delves into the psychological pressures of working in a high-intensity, high-risk environment, while revealing the complex web of human relationships that develops behind the scenes of one of the world's most demanding industries.

Filming of the second production block began on 29 June in Sofia and will continue throughout July in the city of Varna.

The series is directed by Todor Chapkanov. Executive producers are Magarditch Halvadjian, Silvestar Yordanov, and Velina Shtarbakova, with Borislav Slavkov serving as Director of Photography. The screenplay is written by Alexander Chobanov and the series writing team.

The leading cast features Pavel Ivanov, Filip Bukov, Radina Shutova, and Evelina Bibova. The ensemble also includes Neda Spasova, alongside other well-known Bulgarian actors and rising talents.

Airport is scheduled to premiere on Bulgarian National Television (BNT) in 2027.
