Co-produced by Falconwing Studio and BNT, the new season of the acclaimed series brought familiar characters back to the screen and ranked first in its time slot.

The premiere of the first episode of Undercover Season 6 attracted the largest audience share in Bulgaria on 10 October, confirming strong interest in one of Bulgaria’s most successful television productions. Co-produced by Falconwing Studio and the Bulgarian National Television (BNT), the series was the most-watched television content on Saturday evening in the 10:00–11:00 p.m. time slot.

According to official data from GARB Audience Measurement Bulgaria, the average audience during the time slot was 320,200 viewers aged 4 and over. BNT ranked first in the television market, with an average audience share of 24.3% among economically active viewers aged 25–54. The content broadcast during the time slot reached a total of 517,000 viewers.

The strong debut reinforces Undercover’s place among Bulgaria’s leading television productions and demonstrates the appeal of high-quality local content to a broad audience.

Familiar Faces and New Characters in Season Six

The new season brings iconic characters back to the screen alongside new key figures. Across 12 episodes, it continues the stories of characters followed by several generations of viewers. Mihail Bilalov, Zahari Baharov, Marian Valev, Alexander Sano, Kiril Efremov, Vladimir Penev, Yoanna Temelkova and other members of the original cast return for Season 6.

They are joined by Julian Vergov, Pavel Ivanov, Radina Kardzhilova, Veselin Kalanovski, Velina Georgieva and Klimentina Fartsova, who take on pivotal new roles. Set against the backdrop of organised crime, the season expands the established world of the series with new characters and storylines while remaining connected to the cast and narrative that have earned viewers’ trust.

Falconwing Studio and the Continuation of an Iconic Bulgarian Series

Since its debut in 2011, Undercover has become one of Bulgaria’s most successful and recognisable television series, earning international recognition and reaching audiences in dozens of countries. Season 6 is co-produced by Falconwing Studio and BNT. The season’s executive producers are Magardich Halvadjian, Silvester Yordanov and Velina Shtarbakova, working alongside BNT. Miladin Gergov serves as the delegated producer representing the public broadcaster.

The season is directed by Victor Bojinov. The screenplay is written by Vanya Nikolova, Borislav Zahariev, Slavi Angelov and Dimitar Mitovski, who also serves as the series’ creative producer.

With its sixth season, Falconwing Studio continues to contribute to one of Bulgaria’s leading television productions, bringing together memorable characters, an established creative team and stories that resonate with audiences in Bulgaria and abroad.

New episodes of Undercover Season 6 air on BNT 1 every Saturday at 10:00 p.m. EET as part of the broadcaster’s “BG Cinema Night” programming strand, dedicated to Bulgarian film and television.
