The series, produced by Bulgarian National Television (BNT), Falconwing Studio and Global Films, won first place in the TV/Web Series category at the Silver Screen Film Festival in the Czech Republic, for the festival period from May 10 to July 20, 2026.

The award comes just a month after “Mamnik” was named Best Series at film festivals in the United States, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, as well as becoming a finalist at Cinema Royale: Paris Edition.

The series combines crime mystery with elements of fantasy, taking viewers to the village of Vrakola in the Tran region, which becomes the scene of a series of attacks and murders that leave strange wounds on the victims. Episode by episode, the village’s secrets begin to surface, while an ancient evil rooted in Bulgarian folklore gradually reveals its true face.

The leading roles are played by Ekaterina Lazarevska, Gringo-Bogdan Grigorov, Marian Stefanov, Vladimir Penev and Yordan Rusin. The cast also includes Eli Skorcheva, Atanas Atanasov, Nikola Dodov, Mariana Krumova and Galya Aleksandrova.

The series is produced by Magardich Halvadjian and Sylvester Yordanov, together with BNT. Victor Bozhinov serves as director and creative producer, with Vladislav Tinchev and Dimitar Hristov – Kevin as screenwriters. Anton Bakarski is the director of photography, while the original music is composed by Petar Dundakov.
