Sofia, Bulgaria, in the 1920s. Driver Slave Zhelyazkov—known as Bae Slave—is an ordinary man from the Banisora district, but his profession gradually entangles him in some of the darkest secrets of the era. His story reveals the everyday life and harsh atmosphere of Sofia during a time of ruthless political intrigue and violent clashes between left and right. Bae Slave refuses to take sides in this conflict—he simply struggles to survive. Yet his character slowly draws him deeper and deeper into the shadows.
